What’s Happening

Guitarist and Harmonica player Brian Calway – aka “Hash Brown”- released his newest CD “Stop! Your Evil Ways”  in 2022 (the 5th in his series) to rave international reviews. He has played on 50 CDs for other musicians throughout his long career. He is currently playing live every Tuesday night at the Step Up Lounge, 3720 Walnut Hill Ln. in Dallas, as the featured guest. The Jam is hosted by Dave Vincent, who also plays harp, along with John Williamson on bass, and rotating drummers. If you love the blues, this is a jam you should not miss.

Right down the street, also on Tuesdays, is another jam at The Cottage, 3006 W. Northwest Highway, which starts at 8:00, and is hosted by Jason Cloud.  On Fridays at the Cottage Dave Taylor hosts a Blues Jam which starts at 9:00.

On Wednesday night CT Davis hosts a jam at The Forum in Richardson, located at 300 N. Coit Rd. in Richardson, which features a new guest every week. The place is always packed, so get there early to get a seat.

If you live on the West side of DFW, there is a weekly jam every Thursday night hosted by the Playtown Blues Band at Lola’s Saloon – 2000 W. Berry Street in Fort Worth, with rotating featured guests starting at 8:00. They have food, too, most nights.

For those living on the far North side there is the weekly Wednesday night jam at Chef D’s Savory Kitchen in Little Elm. It is hosted by Mark Sena and a host of other talented players, including Reo Casey, and Texas Slim. This show starts at 7:30.
