President’s Message

Nov 16, 2021 | Blog, President's Message, Trinity River Blues Society

Dear Members,

I have had the great honor to serve Trinity River Blues Society Nonprofit as President for over two years. I would like to thank our board of directors, staff, and members for the warm and engaging welcome. It has been a rewarding few years, and the best is yet to come!

When I first came into this role, TRBS was facing some challenges, and our membership renewals had dropped. I am pleased to report that we have managed a strong turn-around, and now we are getting more towards being financially stable and membership is growing. We are utilizing your investment in your membership dues to strengthen our services to you, including improved ways to help keep Blue Music and its culture alive, we are engaging in more substantial and high-quality learning opportunities in North Texas by becoming a part of Blues In Schools in 2022.

With our standards for obtaining Excellence TRBS has launched a new website” “trinintyriverblues.org”, with a host of great new resources to help our organization thrive.

By re-branding that will allow improvement on our service, website, online opportunities, and engagement of members in face-to face or virtual networking.

Trinity River Blues Society first “Trinity River Blues Festival” at Lola’s Trailer Park in Fort Worth, TX on October 23, 2021, was very successful. TRBS is so privileged to have great members and support.

Looking ahead there are a few ways that we are strengthening our Nonprofit to better serve you.

We would love our members input and we are open to your questions and feedback year-round. We are embarking on strategic planning now and look forward to engaging you in that process, as well.

TRBS is also looking for Sponsorships, Volunteers, Grant Writers, and etc.

Please stay tuned to Trinity River Blues Society on our Website, Facebook page and group.

Sincerely,

Angela Buffington

President
