Hello Blues Family,

February is here, and it is an exciting and meaningful month for the blues. As we celebrate Black History Month, Trinity River Blues Society is proud to honor the roots, voices, and legacy of the Black artists who shaped—and continue to shape—this music we love.

Be sure to follow along on all our social media platforms as we spotlight artists throughout the month in our Black History Blues Month Series. We will be sharing stories, highlights, and celebrations of the rich history and ongoing impact of the blues.

We are also incredibly proud to congratulate our TRBS artists who made it to the International Blues Challenge Semifinals in Memphis:

  • Michael King & The Icebreakers – Band Category
  • EJ Matthews – Solo/Duo Category

This is an outstanding achievement, and they represented North Texas and Trinity River Blues Society with excellence on an international stage.
