Musician’s Corner Feature: Izaiah Forman
I’m Izaiah Forman, a passionate artist with a love for both music and visual arts. I’ve been fortunate enough to be recognized multiple times on the Dallas International Guitar Festival’s “10 Under 20” list, which has been a huge honor. It has also been an absolute privilege to be the first artist to be endorsed by Platinum Music Complex NRH, where I have been able to record my original music. “The Boar” my first single was released on all major platforms under, Izaiah Forman Music, on November 1st 2024. It was an absolute thrill to be able to write, produce, sing vocals, play guitar and bass on that recording in the studio. “Texas Heat” will be my second single set to release January 2025.
It has been a pleasure to win the North Texas Blues Challenge twice. I’m looking forward to a showcase performance in Memphis, representing Trinity River Blues Society and all of North Texas, in January 2025 with incredible band members Brooks Barli, 13 (drums) and Noah Reyes, 16 (bass).
My journey into music started in 2020, when the pandemic hit, and I picked up the guitar. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in the world of blues, jazz and rock. I am self taught on electric guitar, but have had a year of classical guitar training. Inspiration has come from legends like Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and many others. I’m also a multi-instrumentalist, playing various horns and constantly finding new ways to express myself through music.
In addition to music, I’m an avid artist. I love to draw and paint, and I enjoy exploring new ideas through visual art. I was very fortunate to be given an opportunity for my first art show/music event at the prestigious Skypony Gallery in October 2024.
Whether it’s through the strings of my guitar or the strokes of a paintbrush, I’m always working to push my creative boundaries and share my creative passions with others.
I’m thankful to all that have helped and encouraged me on this journey. Looking forward to all that God has for my future~Izaiah
