Dylan James “Boogie Boy” Shaw is a 14 year old, blues pianist/vocalist/B3 player from Dallas, TX. He has been featured on television, radio, internet broadcasts and viral shows all over the world. He was recently honored by winning “Blues Kids Of The Year 2021” in Chicago by Columbia College of Chicago and filmed for a CBS tv spot also.  Chuck Leavell of The Rolling Stones is Dylan James’ mentor and will be giving him and mama backstage passes to The Rolling Stones concert here in Dallas in a week. He is the Trinity River Blues Society youth winner and representative at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis for 2 years in a row.  He has won scholarships to Pinetop Perkins Foundation, Dallas Jazz Orchestra, Columbia College Chicago and House Of Blues foundation.  He was honored in Washington DC at the Dept of Education.  Dylan James goes on to film a tv & radio show called “WoodSongs” in Kentucky that airs to 177 nations and all US army bases this month.  Grandma has taught him the blues since he was 5 and He says “the blues is all about feeling good about feeling bad. ” Dylan James Boogie Boy Shaw wants everybody to know that the blues has healed him and he can tell you why this is so true to his being and his heart.
