Visitors to TRBS-sponsored events see our merchandise table, our banners, and plenty of people in bright TRBS shirts. What they may not see is the small but effective army working behind the scenes; the people who really make things happen.

With that in mind, the Trinity River Blues Society is launching a series highlighting the volunteers who often work outside the limelight but are instrumental (no pun intended) to the success of our events and our mission.

This month’s Volunteer Spotlight shines on Wendy S.

Wendy supports TRBS through festival logistics, vendor coordination, and event operations, helping ensure every event runs smoothly from setup to breakdown. Her steady presence behind the scenes makes a difference at every event she supports.

Music runs deep in Wendy’s family, and that passion carries into her own creative life. She enjoys singing and songwriting and occasionally jumps behind the drum kit at Texas Women in Music jams. Whether lending her voice to corporate recordings, keeping the beat, or helping bands set up and tear down gear, Wendy brings enthusiasm and a genuine love for the music community.

Balancing her corporate career with her involvement in the DFW music scene, Wendy brings dedication, warmth, and a hands-on commitment to supporting TRBS and helping preserve and promote blues music throughout the Trinity River region.
